05/06/2023 – A very important class scheduled during the NRHA European Futurity, concluded on May 27 in Cremona (ITA) was the NRHA Youth World Reining Cup. 23 Nations were represented. The horses to compete with were generously made available by third parties. The moments the youth riders had to ´try out´ their horse prior to the competition were just a few. And claiming the World title with a 215,0 score is quite an achievement one might say. The 17-year-old Brazilian Astrid Annas just did that with the 7-year-old stallion Jerry Show Step [My Showbiz Whiz] made available by Ambrosini Quarter Horses between the reins. Annas has been riding since she was 7 years old and this was the very first time she participated at an international show. Prior to moving to Italy Anna stated in the Brazilian press: “To represent Brail is a dream for me and I feel very honored that I may represent my country ‘over there’. I will try to do that in the best way possible and if I can win the title.” She definitely lived up to the expectations.
Posting a 213,0 reserve honors went to Italian Rebecca Folcia aboard the 7-year-old mare Shine Chic Bonita [Shine Chic Shine] made available by Andrea Ghizonni. Step 3 of the podium was voor Burlyn Breedt and the 5-year-old mare Shine Whiz Shine Mr [Shine Chic Shine] made available by Matese Ranch between the reins. The South African amazon posted a 211,0.
