07/09/2020 – Though still behind closed doors, Americana 2021 kicked off last Sunday with the Americana Masters Cutting Open-, Non Pro- en Youth classes. The top scores achieved are quite impressive. The Open class (33 entries) was won by Italian Denis Pini with Stop Ur Hot owned by Michal Popov posting a 147,0; the Non Pro class (34) by Italian Greta Salvatori with Cat Rey Lou posting a 149,0; and the Youth class (8) by German Sascha Schwind with The Big Spoon posting a 146,0.
Yesterday the Reined Work of both the ERCHA Open- and Limited Open Futurity and Derby and the ERCHA Non Pro-, Limited Non Pro- and Amateur Futurity and Derby were scheduled. In the Open Futurity (43) Belgian Alfons Hoefkens and Yellow Gun WR Cowboy [Cowboy WR San Joe] owned by WR Horses and Italian Giovanni Campanaro and Dual Aristocrat Mr [Tassas Aristocrat] owned by Antonio Marmo took the lead, both posting a 217,5. Hoefkens also took the lead in the Limited Open division (25). In the preliminaries of the Open Derby (20) Campanaro and Dual Aristocrat took tied for the leading position together with Italian Markus Schopfer with Hipcat [Metallic Cat] owned by Yvonne Bonda. In the Limited Open division (12) it were Italian Davide di Giacinto and Snappy Playboy [ARC Snappy Cutte] owned by Pamela Palmieri marking the top score 212,5.
In the preliminaries of both the Non Pro- (17), Limited Non Pro- (5) and Amateur Futurity (17) Italian Nicola Succo with A Nite With Marilyn and Gabriele Poli Barberis with First Cats Got Luck took de lead, both marking a 210,5. In the Non Pro Derby preliminaries (13) Italian Alessandro Tugnoli and Smarttarisdeal took the lead posting a 212,5. In the Amateur- (10) and Limited Non Pro division (6) it was Swiss Shirley Schalcher with SS Smart Cash N Cerry marking the top score 210,5. The Herd Work of the ERCHA preliminaries are scheduled for today.
Tomorrow Americana opens the doors for visitors. Among others, the preliminaries of the € 40.000 added NRHA Open class are scheduled for tomorrow.
