10/08/2021 – Last week various NRHA competitions were scheduled concurrently at various places. Not only at the BO Ranch Derby and Maturity various Dutch and Belgian combinations were successful. At the NRHA Germany Summer Slide scheduled at Kamp Lintfort (GER) Nimroid Vannietvelt (BEL) piloted and the 8-year-old stallion Hey Joe [Smart Spook] owned by Steve Vannietvelt and Gina de Pauw to the title in the Open class, marking a fantastic score 148,0. Especially the spins were impressive. It looks like Nimroid and Joe, after months of working hard together, have made a deal to become partners.
Tiara van Dongen (NLD) and the 12-year-old stallion Mr Gun WR San Jo [San Jo Feckless] owned by Marleen Suttels placed 2nd marking a 145,5. In de Intermediate Open class both combinations tied for 2nd place posting a 141,5.
In the Non Pro class Dries Verscheuren (BEL) was successful. With the 13-year-old stallion Smart N Sparkin [Smart Chic Olena] Verscheuren marked a 147,5 claiming the title and with the 8-year-old gelding Missedouttinseltown [Hollywoodstinseltown] he placed 3rd posting a 144,5. Susanne Scharroo (NLD) and the 7-year-old gelding Shortyslittlestep BB [Wimpys Little Step] tied for 4th place marking a 141,0. In the Intermediate Non Pro class Scharroo tied for 3rd place marking a 140,5.
Youth rider Elisabeth Brosens (BEL) and the 8-year-old gelding Wimpys Next Step BB [Wimpys Little Step] claimed the title in the Youth 14-18 class marking a 139,0.
