Ima Dreamin Jeannie and Van Dorp NRBC L3 Open Champion

27/04/2026 – Of the 293 combinations entering the preliminaries of the NRBC L3 Open division 31 combinations advanced to the finals concluded Saturday in the Built Ford Tough Livestock Complex Expo Square in Tulsa (USA). The NRBC Classic is the most prestigious reining event worldwide each year paying out millions of dollars.
The native Dutch Ruben van Dorp added the Dutch Touch to the competition. Marking a 222,5  Van Dorp piloted the 4-year-old mare Ima Dreamin Jeannie [Magnum Chic Dream] owned by Lauri Hauck (USA) to the NRBC L3 Open Champion title, cashing a $ 40.000 cheque. In the L3 Open division a total amount of $ 165.775 has been paid out.
Ima Dreamin Jeannie was entered in the competition for the first time in 2025. The highlight was the 8th place in de NRHA Futurity L4 Open finals. With this victory at the NRBC the NRHA lifetime earning of the young mare exceed the amount of $ 120.000; each dollar with is credit to Van Dorp. Ruben himself has now passed the milestone of $ 1,5 million in NRHA earnings.
L3 reserve honors were for the 5-year-old stallion Vulcano [Spooks Gotta Whiz] owned by Vulcano LLC and ridden by native Brazilian Franco Bertolani, marking a 222,0. Josh Tishman (USA) and the 6-year-old gelding Magnums Ferrari [Ruf Lil Magnum] owned by NTS Equine LLC and Matt Mills and the 6-year-old stallion Wallas First Gun [Gunnatrashya] owned by Janice Dickson (USA) tied for 3rd place, both marking a 221,0.
The Top Ten included some other European achievements worth mentioning. French Jeffrey Touroute-Thomas piloted the 4-year-old stallion Chics Crush [PS Mega Shine Chic] owned by Smith Ranch (USA) to 8th place marking a 218,5. Marking a 218,0 German Lena Maas and the 5-year-old mare A Spook In My Genes [Spooks Gotta Whiz] owned by Rancho Oso Rio LLC (USA) and Austrian Sylvia Rzepka and the 6-year-old mare Shez Got Addy Tude [Spooks Gotta Whiz] owned by Capital Quarter Horses (USA) tied for 10th place, both marking a 218,0. In the L2 division both combinations tied for 3rd place and in the L1 division Maas placed 3rd.
For Rzepka, who recently left home chasing The American Dream,this achievement means a great boost. Chapeau!
