16/07/2023 – The NRHA European Affiliate Championship (EAC) scheduled in conjunction with the CS Classic in Givrins (CH) was concluded yesterday with the $ 15.000 added Non Pro- and $ 18.000 added Open- class.
The Non Pro counted 17 entries. With only 1 more entry to go the top score was a 217,5 marked by both Adrienne Speidel (SUI) with the 11-year-old mare Wimpysshortstride BB [Wimpys Little Step] and the 7-year-old stallion CDC Cromed Resolve [Custom Del Cielo] and Francesca Sternberg (GBR) with the 7-year-old gelding Red Dirt Paleface [Pale Face Dunnit]. The last entry was Gina Maria Schumacher (GER) with the 7-year-old gelding CS Wallawallaboom [Walla Walla Whiz]. Schumacher has moved to America quite a while ago and the gelding hasn’t been ridden for a year. The last show he was entered was the CS Classic scheduled in July 2022 in conjunction with the NRHA European Affiliate Championship 2022. In de CS Non Pro class Schumacher claimed the title by then, marking a 223,0 and in the EAC Non Pro class reserve honors marking a 222,0 de reserve. Apparently sitting back did not have much influence on the athletic ability of the horse. Each maneuver was performed above average and by marking a 223,0 the pair claimed the title and placed 5th in the Open division. The Non Pro co-Reserve Champion title was for Speidel and Sternberg.
