Second gold medal for Meinou de Ruijter and Bandedo Dancer

11/10/2019 – In 2018 Belgian Meinou de Ruijter and her 9-year-old gelding Bandedo Dancer [Hotroddin Invitation x Jazz Band Dancing] grabbed silver in Senior Hunter under Saddle at the Q18, the DQHA International Championship for American Quarter Horses. Yesterday, at the Q19 in Aachen (GER), De Ruijter climbed one step higher on the podium; The combination won gold in the finals Senior Hunter under Saddle. This is the second golden medal for the pair; earlier this week De Ruijter and Bandedo Dancer won gold in the finals Hunter under Saddle Amateur.
The gold medal achieved by De Ruijter was not the only medal the Belgian entries were granted with.  Lauren Bruls and the 15-year-old gelding The Right Luke [Luke At Me x Applefrisk] owned by Chloe Shaw-Jackson won bronze in Showmanship at Halter Amateur; Marie France d’Hondt and her 7-year-old gelding VS Secret Code [VS Code Red x Versions Of Bay Lady] silver in Western Pleasure Select Amateur; and Ludo Cools and his 7-year-old mare Thatthewayilikeit [A Dream Remembered x Beccatha] bronze Western Pleasure Select Amateur.
