Ann Fonck leading in IRHA L4 Open Derby go-round

23/05/2019 – The preliminaries of the $ 76.827 added IRHA Open Derby have been concluded yesterday and the field of finalists is set. Belgian Ann Fonck did a fantastic job qualifying 2 horses for the L4 finals. With the 5-year-old mare Gunners Specialolena [Gunners Special Nite], owned by Diego dalla Gassa (ITA), she posted the top score 221,5 and with the 5-year-old mare Spook N Ruffles [Smart Spook], owned by Brigitte Steiner (GER) a 220,5. A 221,5 was posted as well by Polish Lukasz Czechowicz and the 6-year-old gelding CSG Magnifique Gun [Colonels Shining Gun], owned by Katarzyna Roleska (POL). Belgian NRHA $ 1 million rider Cira Baeck failed to qualify for the finals,
Dutch Petra van Ede and the 5-year-old mare Cee U In Tinseltown [Hollywoodstinseltown], owned by Gisela Haas (NLD), posted a 218,0 qualifying for the L4 and L3 finals. The top score 219,0 in both L3 and L2 was posted by Italian Nico Sicuro and the 7-year-old stallion Sugar Little Step [Wimpys Little Step], owned by Quarter Dream SRL (ITA).
Belgian youth rider Nimroid Vannietvelt and the 7-year-old gelding Whiz Genuinefootwork [Who Whiz It], owned by Steve Vannietvelt and Gina de Pauw (BEL), posted a 212,0 qualifying for the L2 and L1 finals. The top score 216,5 in L1 was posted by Italian Luca Dossetto and the 6-year-old stallion Surprise Me Chic ARC Antaris Surprise], owned by Natalia Gambino (ITA).
The finals are scheduled for Saturday May 25.
