Debut of the Run For A Million
10/04/2019 – Europe has proven to be progressive in the field of Reining, but on the other site of the ocean people are not sitting back either. Recently the Run For A Million has been introduced. An initiative of Taylor Sheridan in cooperation with Amanda Brumley from Brumley Management Group LLC (BMG). Yearly BMG is responsible for three main Reining events: the Cactus Reining Classic, Reining By The Bay and the High Roller Reining Classic.
The Run For A Million is scheduled for August 15-17, 2019 in the South Point Arena and Equestrian Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Twelve riders (invitational), including some of the most accomplished NRHA professionals in the history of Reining, will compete for a purse of $ 1 million. In addition to the main event there will be a $ 100.000 added Shoot Out, open to all riders and horses. The top five riders in the Shoot Out finals will be guaranteed a position in the 2020 Run For A Million.
Other performances include the Run For A Million Rookie Championships, $ 50.000 Non Pro Championships and $ 50.000 invitational Freestyle Reining. Riders can qualify for these Championships at the NRBC in Katy, TX, the NRHA Derby in Oklahoma City, OK, and the Reining by the Bay in Woodside, CA.
